Wholesale Litter Box Cabinets: Fit & Sample Checklist

When buying wholesale litter box cabinets, approve the tray fit and cleaning access before the finish or order quantity. Match the exact litter tray to the cabinet’s usable interior, entry opening and removal route. Overall furniture dimensions alone cannot confirm compatibility. This guide helps retailers and importers turn a wooden litter box furniture shortlist into a specific sample brief.

Three NAVORIQ litter cabinets: listed product dimensions and materials
Product / referenceProduct dimensions (mm)Material
Large Storage Litter CabinetM1066 · NAV-F0621200 × 560 × 1156Wood-look board cabinet with brown-tinted glass doors; exact board core not specified
Twin-Drawer Litter CabinetM1033 · NAV-F065830 × 400 × 780Board construction; the exact board core is not specified in the latest catalogue
Tall Twin-Drawer Litter CabinetM1034 · NAV-F068830 × 450 × 1200Board construction; the exact board core is not specified in the latest catalogue

These are overall catalogue dimensions, not litter-compartment measurements. The public records do not confirm internal clearances or compatible tray models. Request a dimensioned drawing and verify the chosen combination with a sample.

1. Choose a layout, then verify the litter compartment

NAV-F062 combines a lower litter compartment with middle storage, a top storage lid and a side scratching pad. NAV-F065 has two upper drawers and front access for tray removal. NAV-F068 adds middle storage above its lower compartment. These are different storage layouts; a taller cabinet does not by itself establish more usable litter space.

Use the comparison above to shortlist furniture footprints. Then ask for a labelled drawing showing the litter compartment separately from shelves, drawers and access passages. Do not infer an internal measurement by subtracting an assumed panel thickness from the overall size.

2. Check five measurements before approving fit

Send the supplier the tray brand, exact model and maximum external dimensions, including projecting rims or handles. A tray’s advertised capacity or nominal size is not a substitute for its outer measurements. Ask for the following dimensions on the assembled cabinet:

  • Usable compartment width, depth and height, including any hinge, shelf or divider intrusion.
  • The narrowest clear door opening available when removing the tray.
  • Cat entrance width and height, threshold height and the route from entrance to tray.
  • Working space needed to lift a lid, scoop litter or remove a waste drawer.
  • Room clearance outside the cabinet for doors, drawers and the complete tray-removal path.

3. Separate “fits inside” from “works in use”

Illustrative example, not a NAVORIQ specification: a tray measuring 500 × 400 mm inside a clear 520 × 420 mm compartment leaves 20 mm total in each horizontal direction. If centred, that is only 10 mm on each side. It does not establish enough space for handles, movement, cleaning or the cat. There is no universal clearance allowance supplied by this example.

A tray can fit behind closed doors yet fail to pass through the front opening. On the sample, insert it, close the doors and remove it again without forcing the hardware. Check the complete route with the intended tray rather than a cardboard footprint alone. Record any required tilt or disassembly before accepting the combination.

4. Run a practical sample and cleaning-access check

Assemble the sample using the supplied instructions. Keep photos of the reference, finish, hardware and measured openings. This is a buyer acceptance check, not a laboratory test or a substitute for the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Place the actual tray inside and confirm that doors and drawers operate without contact.
  • Check that a scoop can reach the tray and that loose litter can be removed from corners and entrance grids.
  • Confirm that the tray can be removed for washing without washing the cabinet itself.
  • Inspect exposed edges, panel joints, hinges and access to replaceable fittings.
  • Request the permitted cleaning products, moisture restrictions, assembly instructions and any anchoring requirements.
  • List deviations, agree corrections in writing and retain the approved sample specification for the production order.

5. Confirm board, finish and moisture-care limits

The latest supplier catalogue does not specify the board core or board grade for these three cabinets. It shows wood-look and solid-colour finishes, which do not establish solid oak, solid walnut or a particular panel construction. Confirm the exact material and supporting documents for the supplied version before making retail claims.

Ask the supplier to identify panel construction, surface finish, edge treatment and the documents covering the supplied version. A wipe-clean surface does not by itself establish waterproof joints or permission to hose down a cabinet. Confirm the care instructions before writing your own retail description.

6. Avoid blanket compatibility and comfort claims

Do not advertise “fits all litter boxes” based on the outer furniture size. For an automatic litter box, use the device manufacturer’s current installation instructions as well as the cabinet drawing. Verify any required space for movement, sensors, ventilation, cables, waste-drawer removal and servicing. Obtain confirmation for the exact device and enclosure combination; this guide does not establish compatibility.

Cats Protection notes that no single litter tray suits every cat and that the tray needs room for the cat to turn around. A cabinet adds another entrance and enclosure around the tray. For retail copy, describe measured access and verified compatibility rather than promising that every cat will accept it. The linked welfare guidance is general advice, not an endorsement of these products.

7. Compare the complete quotation, not only unit price

Before ordering wooden litter box cabinets wholesale, put material, finish, included accessories, packing and sample approval on the same quotation sheet. Confirm whether the tray is supplied; do not assume an item shown in a lifestyle image is included.

Request cartons per unit, carton dimensions, gross weight, assembly instructions, replacement-panel and hardware terms, and any packing-test evidence for the exact configuration. Confirm MOQ, customization options and production timing by model and order. NAVORIQ coordinates sourcing with manufacturing partners; these terms are confirmed through the quotation, not guaranteed by this article.
