Cat Coffee Tables: A Wholesale Buyer's Configuration Guide

When sourcing a cat coffee table for a retail range, specify the tabletop, cat resting space and packing as separate decisions. A glass-top table with a resting capsule is a different order from a board-top version or a cat bed coffee table with a space beneath it. This guide compares four NAVORIQ catalogue models and shows retailers and importers what to confirm before approving samples or placing a wholesale order.

1. Choose the footprint for the room you are selling into

Start with a room plan and the customer use your retail display will demonstrate. Stargazer NAV-F042 is round at Ø800 × 408 mm; Gallery NAV-F046 is rectangular at 1200 × 700 × 408 mm; Archway NAV-F049 is square at 800 × 800 × 408 mm. NAV-F101 is a round design listed at 800 × 800 × 400 mm. The similar heights do not make their floor-space requirements identical.

Mark the table footprint, sofa position, walking route and the cat's approach to the openings. For a capsule design, request its usable bowl dimensions as well as the opening. The 300 mm capsule opening listed for Gallery NAV-F046 does not establish a suitable cat weight or the dimensions of the whole resting space. Request the selected model's intended-use limits instead of estimating capacity from the photograph.

2. Separate the tabletop from the resting capsule

The Basic, Standard and Capsule names in the matrix apply to NAV-F042, NAV-F046 and NAV-F049. They describe different component combinations. A buyer who requests only a glass cat coffee table could still receive a quotation without a resting capsule unless that component is specified. Record the NAVORIQ reference, supplier model, version, top and finish together.

NAV-F042's standard and transparent-top capsule versions list a brown-tinted glass top. The public records for NAV-F046 and NAV-F049 describe a transparent top without establishing its precise material specification. Ask for the material, thickness, edge treatment, fixing method and relevant product documentation for each selected version. Do not transfer the NAV-F042 glass specification to the other models or describe any top as tempered or shatterproof without evidence.

  • Request a labelled photo and component list for the quoted version.
  • Specify whether the capsule, cushion, scratching inserts and decorative accessories are included.
  • Ask how the top and capsule are secured, accessed for cleaning and identified for replacement.
  • For models with castors, confirm the supplied castors, any brakes and the manufacturer's placement instructions.

3. Confirm construction behind the wooden furniture appearance

A walnut or oak colour name describes a finish choice; it does not establish solid walnut or oak construction. NAV-F042, NAV-F046 and NAV-F049 list board bodies, with the exact board core requiring confirmation. NAV-F101 specifically lists 15 mm particleboard with melamine facing on both sides, banded edges and an iron frame.

For NAV-F101, configuration A has a flat top without a groove; B has a grooved top with a vacuum-formed finish. Compare actual finish samples under your normal display lighting and agree which surfaces match the colour reference. Ask for the permitted cleaning method and care restrictions. Material labels alone do not establish waterproof, scratch-proof or destination-compliant performance.

4. Approve a sample your staff can assemble and explain

Have the sample assembled from the supplied instructions and record missing parts, unclear steps and the tools needed. Check the actual unit against the quoted top, capsule and finish combination. A sample review should produce a written approval record or a clear correction list, not just a photograph of the assembled table.

Review accessible edges, fasteners, top support, capsule attachment and movement under the manufacturer's intended-use instructions. Ask for supported-load and suitable-pet information where it is not documented. Do not use an improvised overload test or present the table as seating. A cat resting area also does not make the product a litter box enclosure.

  • Record overall dimensions, entrance clearance and usable resting space separately.
  • Check whether the interior can be reached and cleaned using the supplied care method.
  • Check that removable parts can be refitted as instructed without loose fittings.
  • Keep approved photos, the parts list and configuration reference for the retail listing and reorder.

5. Compare the packed product and replacement parts

NAV-F101 A and B are currently listed as knock-down packing, one unit in one carton measuring 92 × 92 × 12 cm. Multiplying 0.92 × 0.92 × 0.12 gives 0.101568 m³ per carton. This is a supplier-listed packing estimate, not a freight quote; final packing dimensions, protective materials and carrier measurement require confirmation. Do not use those carton dimensions for NAV-F042, NAV-F046 or NAV-F049.

For a transparent-top or capsule model, request photos of how each fragile component is separated from hardware and protected inside the carton. Confirm every carton per unit, gross weight, carton identifiers and any available testing for the exact package. Obtain the current freight quotation for the destination and agreed delivery basis before comparing delivered costs.

Request a replacement list that distinguishes the top, capsule, panels, castors and fittings. Establish the evidence needed for a damage claim, who pays replacement freight and which parts can be supplied separately. A visually similar capsule or top should not be assumed to fit another model.

6. Build a manageable range before adding every version

Choose the retail story first: a visible resting capsule, a transparent view into the table, or a sheltered space beneath a conventional tabletop. Select samples that let your team compare those functions. Do not assume that a feature-rich version will sell better; evaluate it against your customers, display space and support requirements.

One model offered in three configurations and two finishes already creates six combinations. Confirm minimum quantities by model, configuration and finish, whether mixed orders are accepted, and what must stay unchanged on reorders. Sample availability, pricing, production timing and customization are confirmed for the actual order rather than implied by this guide.
